If you are navigating succession, sharing ownership, or just trying to get everyone on the same page,
The Grounded Farmer gives you the structure and emotional clarity to move forward together.
Because thriving farms start with grounded people, clear policies, and courageous conversations.

The Grounded Farmer brings together emotional intelligence and practical farm management tools to help families communicate clearly, plan effectively, and grow sustainably....without losing connection along the way.
Whether you’re taking over, retiring or focused on growing your farming/ranching business, The Grounded Farmer gives you:
Tools to regulate yourself and your meetings
Templates for structuring productive family discussions
Frameworks for decision-making, fiscal clarity, and operational planning
Strategies for balancing tradition with innovation
Results: Clear communication, calm decision-making, and a sustainable plan for your farm’s future.

This is not just sitting around talking about feelings. These are practical tools that help you stay calm, think clearly, and keep conversations steady when pressure is high.
We combine simple brain and body regulation tools with real farm planning like roles, finances, legal pieces, and succession decisions so you are looking at the full picture.
When people feel steady and there is a clear plan in place, it becomes much easier to move the farm forward together.

Grounded Farmer Grounded Farmer is a 6-night program designed for family farms who want clearer conversations, stronger structure, and better decision-making....without damaging relationships.
This program bridges the gap between emotion and execution.
In six structured live sessions, we combine family systems thinking, emotional regulation, and practical farm business frameworks to help conversations about money, leadership, growth, and long-term direction feel productive instead of heavy.
Together, we walk through:
Creating structure that reduces tension and protects relationships
Understanding how emotion influences farm decisions....without letting it control them
Making money conversations more neutral and less personal
Shifting from control-based leadership to protection-based stewardship
Aligning long-term vision with business systems
Doing the personal work that allows the farm to evolve, because the hardest part of a family farm isn’t usually the land or the cattle....
It’s navigating identity, responsibility, security, and change......together.
When structure improves, clarity improves.
And when clarity improves, the farm moves forward.

The Heart Behind the Collaboration Three women, three generations, one shared mission: to help farm and ranch families strengthen both their business foundations and their human ones.....the conversations, emotions, and relationships that hold it all together.
From the kitchen table to the corrals, we’ve each walked through the realities of succession, transition, and farm-family dynamics, the tough conversations, the shifting roles, and the balance between legacy and change.
Together, we bring a blend of financial clarity, communication tools, and grounded wellbeing
so that families can move forward with confidence and connection.

I’m Annessa Good-Hassard, founder of Peak Heritage Consulting, where I help farm families navigate transition planning with clarity, teamwork, and heart.
Growing up on my family’s mixed farm, and now stepping into the successor role myself, I know firsthand how complex succession can be....emotionally, financially, and operationally. It’s not just about transferring assets or management; it’s about honouring the past while building a sustainable future for the next generation.
With a background in supply chain management and years of experience working alongside my family at GRS Consulting and later with Farm Credit Canada, I’ve supported hundreds of farm families through their transition process. My approach combines practical business strategy with a holistic, people-first perspective, helping families move forward together, informed and connected.

I’m Kim Rowland-McIntosh, a third-generation farmer who left the farm for a time, only to find my way back, and in doing so, discovered just how deep my roots really run.
Today, my husband and I are rebuilding and growing our cow-calf operation, filling the barn once again on my family’s century farm. Through that journey, I’ve experienced firsthand the intensity that comes with succession, growth, and rebuilding....the tough conversations, the shifting roles, and the balance between legacy and change.
Alongside life on the farm, I’m also classically trained as a Registered Massage Therapist, where my work began supporting people through physical tension, stress, and nervous system overwhelm.
From there, my path expanded into holistic healing, where I started working with the deeper emotional and energetic layers that often sit underneath what people carry.
Over the course of my career, I’ve had more than 30,000 conversations with people navigating stress, transition, identity shifts, and life pressures. Those conversations became the foundation for co-creating Grow Your Life with Jackie, where we help people reconnect with themselves, release emotional blocks, and find clarity through change.
Through both the farm and this work, I’ve seen how deeply the wellbeing of our land, our families, and our inner world are connected. When one is out of balance, everything feels it. But when we ground, heal, and realign, everything around us begins to thrive too.

I’m Jackie Payne, a fourth generation farmer working alongside our fifth generation family at Greenwood Cattle, where we raise purebred cattle with deep respect for the land, animals, and legacy we’re building.
While farming has always been part of my roots, my role in our operation looked different for many years. I was the farm’s diversification plan, working off the farm in a full time 9–5 career to help support and stabilize the business from the outside.
That path worked… until it didn’t.
Over time, the disconnect of working in a role that wasn’t aligned, while still carrying the weight and responsibility of the farm, led me to a turning point.
In 2016, I began building my own holistic healing practice. What started as a personal path of growth and healing steadily evolved into a full time business that has now completely replaced my off farm career.
Today, that work allows me to be more present and connected to the day to day operations of the farm, without the burnout that comes from carrying two worlds that don’t align.
Walking through farm growth, transition, and family business pressures firsthand, while also developing holistic healing tools, has given me a unique perspective.
I’ve had the same hard conversations. I understand the strain that can build when the farm is growing but the people inside it feel stretched thin.
As co-founder of Grow Your Life, I now combine hands on farming experience, common sense practicality, and holistic regulation tools to help others navigate stress, communication, and change in a way that supports both the farm and the family.
This work isn’t theoretical for me. I live it every day, walking the walk and bringing grounded farm life together with the tools that create real, sustainable change.
